At the Youth United Festival 2014

So last week was pretty eventful as the Youth United Festival was going on. Presented by Honor 6, this was practically the most anticipated event of the year for youths that was filled with great performances, sports, arts, music, food, share sessions by celebrities and more.

The Set Up

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what Youth United MY, it is basically an online platform envisioned to engage, inspire and celebrate Malaysian youths. Some functions include providing a platform for students to showcase their individual talent by submitting their content to earn cash and win prizes through the latest job listings, offers and promos together for a chance at an event sponsorship to be Campus Ambassador.

With regards, this fun filled day was on free entry and was packed with tons of celebrity bazaars, food trucks, blogshops, BMX demo, drigt car demonstrations, lucky draws while an exciting prize pool worth more than RM100,000 was up for grabs for students taking part in the key programs throughout the event.

There were also fun creativity session where students were able to exhibit their work on photography, paintings and illustrations in stimulating YouthZibition, which was generated by Gen Y. We also found an interesting project just around the registration where you could create your own interpretation of art through shapes and threading.

The art exhibition

What really caught our eye was an art exhibition that was being held at the back where the public was put to vote on their favorite artwork drawn by local students.

Ending as the top winner for the Photography category, Painting category and Illusion was Nur Fadhila binti Mohd Faudzie from Universiti Teknologi MARA, followed by Nur Hidayah binti Ab Halim, from Universiti Teknologi MARA and Ismail Ibrahim Mohamed Almahdi from UNITEN respectively. Each of them walked away with an Honor 6 Smartphone.
