The 3 Highlights in Korean Skincare | The Face Shop

On Korean Skincare

For 2017, Korean skincare is all the rage, and seeing that I am currently on routine with my own personal skincare regime, a simple adjustment has been made, just to ensure healthier and more youthful looking skin.

The Face Shop Regime

So a couple of products that were used in this little modification was from The Face Shop, and amongst them were three highlights which gave my skin great results over time, and after much trial, here are my thoughts for the trio, listed down for your below for reference that can be used together accordingly or sparingly.

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam

The Cleansing Foam | Peach

The first product up is the Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam in Peach and you might be familiar with this one as the brand also has the other variants within the line which are Aloe, Acerola, Mung Beans, Lemon and Spearmint.

The Consistancy
Mixed with water | Foam

Having used this for a good two weeks as a daily morning and night cleanser, it's results have been great thus far as my skin feels soft, plumped and nourished. Not only that, but my dry texture hasn't experienced any breakouts as well so that is a good thing too. Retailing at RM18.90, the price tag on this one is extremely affordable and you can get this at any of The Face Shop boutique or online in the meantime.

  • Pros: Light scent, cleanses the face well, only a little amount is needed and the price is affordable.
  • Cons: None

The Face Shop Honey Black Sugar Scrub

The Honey Black Sugar Scrub

Exfoliation is the one that comes next, and for this I must highlight the Honey Black Sugar Scrub which has slowly but surely become a weekly favorite in the regime. Not to be used every day, this product is priced at RM43.90 and is best suited for the skin once every week (twice if needed) as it removes dead skin cells while melting away blackheads quite effectively.

The texture
The Sugar Granules

Now this is ideal for normal to oily (non-acne prone) skin but if you have a combination, focus on the targeted areas like the nose, chin or forehead. The consistency of the scrub is pretty thick as it is packed with sugar granules (might be a little harsh on sensitive skin) but after massaging it down in gentle circular motions, the texture will melt down and be easier to spread.

  • Pros: Great scent, brightens the skin, washes away easily, has natural consistancy, keeps the skin smoother and softer.
  • Cons: Texture is slightly hash

The Face Shop Mini Capsule Pack

On the Mini Capsule Pack

Last but certainly not least is the Mini Capsule Pack Deluxe Set of 4 Face Masks. As all of you know, I am a huge fan of face masks, and this little capsule pack is ideal to be brought on the go, which works wonderfully for me.

The Four Variants

There are four variants in the pack which is Aloe, Honey, Pomegranate and Rice and this gives you a pretty decent range of what you can do for your skin in terms of soothing, moisturizing, resilience lifting and brightening.

The Packaging

Packaged in a mini capsule (which looks quite similar to those cute tiny packets which are provided at hotels for tea or coffee), I had initially thought that each of these was made for a single application, but after using them, I began to realize that each one can be utilized for up to three uses which thus gives us 12 in total. Completely justifying the price point as this retails at RM39.62 per pack of four.

The Aloe Vera Pack
The Consistancy

As for its results, the Honey and Aloe capsule were the two that worked out extremely well as it followed its description by soothing and moisturizing the skin. In addition, its results were even brought forward to the next day too, which made me extremely happy as the mask had a longer lasting outcome.

  • Pros: Plumps and smoothens the skin, has variants to select, can be used for up to three times per pack.
  • Cons: None.
On the three skincare products

Overall, all three of these skincare products from The Face Shop are stellar, and I would certainly head back over and make a repurchase in a flash. In the meantime, for more details on the brand's beauty line and products, you can head over to The Face Shop's Official Facebook Page and Website for further information.

Xx!
