Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit | Yay or Nay?

On finding long lasting matte shades

Now I love a good matte lip, but most of which that are within my collection often do not have the staying power that is desired and hence I find that after most meals, would wear off and thus would need reapplication once again.

So when these three shades from Wet N Wild arrived at the desk with its well known 'megalast' description, we decided to give them a go and boy were we thoroughly surprised.

On the Colors

By description, the Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit is a lightweight formulation that glides on the lips smoothly to a high-pigmented matte finish. It goes on like a second layer and has really good staying power with intense pigmentation without drying the lips.

As we have three shades to put to the test, the first one that was applied on is called Give Me Mocha, which is a beautiful dark nude color with a deep note of brown. This is a warm tone lip shade and goes very well on tan skin. Its pigmentation is matched by how wonderfully it goes on the lips with just one swatch.

Rebel Rose | Application

Rebel Rose Swatched

As for the next one, we have here Rebel Rose which is a nude tone but with a pink undertone. It has a purple like hue to it which compliments a wide range of skin shades and goes on well on the lip without drying it. The finish here is high in concentration and there are no form of patchiness once applied on.

Coral Corruption | Application

On Coral Corruption

This is probably the most neon of the lot but the high intensity of pigment is definitely there. However the one thing that should be said about this color is that after the first form of application, you will find a slight formation of patchiness but after two coats, the finish is quite fine. Nonetheless it is a beautiful color and gives the lips a full pout when applied on.

Now on overall, I love each of these colors to the boot and in terms of the formulation, Wet N Wild did extremely well on it.

Each of these shades were tried and tested throughout the day as well as in between meals and in terms of the verdict, they were very long lasting (no amount of oil removed much color from the lips), there was hardly any form of drying and the color remained throughout the day and lasted for more than 6 hours with high intensity of wear.

So if you would like to know more about the shade range and more, you can always head on over to Wet N Wild's Official Facebook Page for further details. In the meantime, each of these tones retail at RM38.90 and also can be found at SaSa Malaysia nationwide.
