So the perfume season is officially upon us and 2017 has been a pretty good year for many launches. We have seen the releases from Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Christian Dior and many more, but the one that has been much enjoyed recently comes from Sisley's latest which is called Izia.


Now Sisley fragrances are basically a dream to own for any perfume enthusiast or collector and this time around the brand had put together a scent that is beautifully fresh and elegant, one that was inspired by roses that translates onto your skin.

The Packaging

Packaged in a chic with box with gold details, the perfume is cased in an unique bottle, one that has some wavy details that is quite interesting to inspect. The liquid within also collides with color when the light reflects, so sometimes you will be seeing a mixture of ombre red with gold as you turn the bottle up and down. Also it is good to mention here that the spraying quality here is one of the best that has been encountered in a while as well.

So let us begin with the scent. Upon spraying, the top notes that  you will be detecting is white bergamot, pink pepper and aldehydes. After letting the fragrance settle for about 20 minutes, you will slowly start noticing its rose scent, a transparent floral accord and Angelica. Finally after an hour, you will start identifying its base notes which is cedarwood, amber and musk.

Crisp and fruity fragrance

Now given this characterization, here is what we detected on overall. The white bergamot note is very distinctive in the scent upon spraying it on. However it is best to let it settle in for around 20-30 minutes, for then you will then begin noticing the rose and musk scent coming in. The combination of these three thus makes the scent quite fresh and gives it a crisp fruity fragrance that is very pleasant and clean.

Thoughts

On overall, this fragrance is just immensely beautiful and well blended, plus it gives a nice modern take on a fresh rose. As for expectations, it certainly rose up to it and with its longevity being quite good to different skin chemistry, it is certainly recommended for those of you who love well balanced fragrances.
