Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360 Review

Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360

In sunny weathers like these, its always best to keep your skin well hydrated and well protected. This is just the basics to avoid any sun damage, dark sports, freckles and pigmentation, so a good sunscreen is much needed in any carry along beauty kit that you keep.

I have spoken about the Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ before; and while that product is beyond amazing and is the current one which I am always reaching for before I head about anywhere; the brand has now launched an upgrade which is called the Wet Force 360 SPF50+.

Comparing the two

There are slight differences between the two in terms of packaging and the texture; but let's start with the packaging first. Weighing in at 50ml each; both dome shaped bottles remains exactly the same; however in terms of color, its former is white with faded grey fonts and a thin aqua blue line while the current Wet Force 360 is in blue and yellow.

Now this may be a little out there to some, but I will say that the packaging of the Shiseido's current sunscreen is definitely eye catching.

Absorption test
Texture comparison

Moving on to texture; the latest UV Protect Wet Force is extremely watery; so do take care while taking the product out. I had honestly thought the texture was going to be similar to Shiseido's previous sunscreen but other than its milky white texture; the current one is definitely not as solid as I expected it to be.

However, in terms of absorption, the Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360 beats its predecessor hands down. You see, the moment the product is applied to the skin; it goes on like a thin UV-protective veil that absorbs within seconds into the skin. Sometimes I think you wouldn't even need to pat or rub it down; it goes on so smooth the moment it gets applied; just spreading it out evenly across the hand will do.

Overall Thoughts

At SPF 50+, this is a rather high water resistant sunscreen; however unlike its first edition, it does not lower its effectiveness after sweating or swimming. Instead the product recruits water into the protection process and becomes a more powerful protector for your skin; boosting its strength to 109%.

Being well protected by Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360

Now even though the scent is a little stronger than its previous, the Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360 does not feel sticky and goes on the skin like a dream. It comes off easily with the usual cleansers though it is resistant to perspiration and water, I somehow find that it has a longer lasting UV protection than other sunscreen protectors.

Available in stores today, the Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+ Wet Force 360 is retailed at RM148.40 for a 50ml bottle and if you would like to know more, you can have a look on it through Shiseido's Official Facebook Page and Website. It is available at Shiseido counters and Sephora stores nationwide too, so do check them out if you are nearby one as well.

Xx!
