Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil

Now if you have been following this page for a long time, you would know that when it comes to lip products, I am 100% all for it. It doesn't matter what formulation it is; lipstick, lip gloss, lip treatment, lip oils, lip exfoliaters; as long as you name it, I am totally game for it.


So when Clarins introduced its new lip care treatment which by the way the internet is totally picking up on, I didn't really know what to expect. I have heard tons of rave reviews on it but not having tried it out for myself at that time, I sort of didn't want to insert my opinion on it just yet. Seemed biased in a way.

Nonetheless, I can however speak for Clarins skincare because trying them out in the past has been a total game changer for me as they are spectacular and actually show quite a bit of improvement but since this was going to be a first time trying out a lip product from the brand, this was certainly going to be pleasantly surprising.

A Closer Look

So without further ado, let's start off with day one. Upon receiving the the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil from Clarins, the first thought that popped into my head was 'oh my that is a lovely packaging'. In essence though, the vial is rather compact but then again Clarins has always had a way with its packaging being up a notch from the rest, so the expectancy of detail was indeed consistent and well preserved with all its other products.

Now according to Clarins, this lip comfort oil is a formulation that transforms lips from dry and damaged to plump and luscious while adding a hint of color. There are three shades to the collection retailing at RM99 each; namely 01 Honey, 02 Raspberry and 03 Red Berry (Honey & Raspberry are the only ones available in Malaysia); plus each of them have their own significant fragrance which of course amps up the hype so much more because we all know how we feel about our scents.


Infused with the power of plant oils to nourish and enhance the lips natural beauty, the product does indeed moisturize, soothe and enhance the lips in a natural way and ensures that lip lines condition beautifully. What I personally like about it is its formulation, where its unique gel texture has a non-sticky feel that can last to a 3 to 4 hours without reapplication. Layering it on after it has worn down was seamless as well.

The convenience factor for this product is fantastic and I find myself reaching for this whenever I would want to head out. Upon application, the formula gives a very shiny but sheer finish over bare lips and eventually after an hour or so, it leaves a semi-gloss look that leaves softer and line-free lips as well.


Overall I absolutely love the product and would highly recommend it to those who have dry or chapped lips for not only does it comfort the texture but its formulation will also help ease out the fine lines and cracks in between in the long run.
