The Body Shop Piñita Colada Collection
When The Body Shop debuted its official release of its limited edition Piñita Colada Collection, the first thing that we thought of was of white sands, the blue sea, the warm sea breeze and the bright sun; all of which was joined with a cold drink in hand.
We had been a huge fan of their 2015 limited edition range which was the Virgin Mojito and seeing that this one sparked similar vibe, we looked forward to see what the collection would bring. There are 4 items within the range to explore and with its unmistakable scent of sweet fruits; or more specifically pineapple and coconut cream, this new line certainly was a delight to dive into.
What you need to know about The Body Shop Pinita Colada Range
On the range
Featured at The Body Shop's new concept store at KLCC which is the first in Malaysia (2nd in Asia after Japan), the first thing that we took notice of was of its Piñita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet. If you have followed up on our previous posts, you would know that The Body Shop makes the most amazing texture and scents for its body sorbet, and this one is no exception to that.
Fresh Body Sorbet
Retailing at RM75 for a 200ml bottle, the scent for this one seems to be a little stronger than the rest but its consistency still remains lightweight throughout. Post application with this leaves the skin feeling very fresh and smooth but as it is a body moisturizer, do keep in mind that it is not meant to be used on the face as well.
Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub
As for the Piñita Colada Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub, it is a gentle exfoliate that has a creamy texture which leaves the skin feeling very soft and hydrated after a bath. Retailing at RM105 for 250ml, this tub can last you for about 6-8 months depending on how often you would use it and what's lovely about it is that it has a consistency that doesn't latch on to the skin.
However a classic favorite to try in this range is the Piñita Colada Shower Gel and this only retails at RM35 for a 250ml bottle. The reason being why this one was a particular highlight was because it has a lingering tropical fragrance that cleans the skin well and balances out the hydration without being overly drying.
The Body Butter
Last but certainly not least is the Piñita Colada Body Butter which is rich in scent but in terms of texture is lighter than most of the other body butters that can be found in The Body Shop. Retailing at RM35 for a 50ml tub or you can opt for the RM89 for 200ml, this item is more for those who enjoy sweet fragrances who also loves keeping the skin pampered with a long lasting scent.
Now overall, we are huge fans of the collection but the highlights to take away here would certainly be the Fresh Body Sorbet and the Shower Gel. After all, if you are new to sweet fragrances, it would be best to try out these two for they are the more lighter scents out of the four in the collection but if you are indeed a fan of The Body Shop's creams and scrubs you can also go ahead and give the other two a go.
