Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | Yay or Nay?

Achieving a clean and clear complexion using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Having gone through several cleansing waters over the years, the skin has gotten used to many formulation consistencies, but in terms of its no rinse policy that is often found in an all in one cleanser, we are still left a little bit hesitant due to having dry skin.

The packaging at 400ml

Nonetheless, with new options popping up every day in the beauty industry, we are exposed to a good variety of products, and the latest one that has caught our eye is the new Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

Soaked on the cotton pad

Described to be the first all in one Micellar Cleansing Water that purifies and removes makeup in one swipe, the product is enriched with Micelles that lifts away residue from the face, eyes and lips like a magnet.

In its description, it states that there is no need to harshly rub to get rid of any form of impurities and makeup as the removal is quite effortless, and the skin would be left soft, clean and perfectly healthy right after.

How To | Trying it On

A gentle swipe to remove

Seeing that we often head out with makeup (whether be it light for day or heavy for night), its removal was indeed quite smooth. For those of you who have dry skin, you needn't be concerned, as the formulation does not leave a strong scent and your skin does feel refreshed without it being over drying too.

Application:

  • Apply the product onto a clean cotton pad.
  • Work it from the center of the nose upwards - following your contour lines.
  • Do not rub the consistency harshly on the skin, a gentle swipe upwards would do.
  • No rinsing is required.
  • Skin is left clean and refreshed.

Taking out the product
Removing waterproof makeup

In terms of how it removes waterproof makeup, you would certainly need about two to three gentle swipes (mascara especially), but other than that, the product seem to live up to its description. The removal for foundation, and strong lipsticks are seamless too, though a double cleanse would be recommended for your night time routine.
