It's always been a rather tricky issue for me whenever it comes to choosing a new foundation and this is just because while having tan skin with a yellow undertone, I often have to do color mixing in order to find my right shade.


Nonetheless with products constantly evolving in the beauty industry, a new liquid foundation has emerged from Shiseido called Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation, and this one is revolutionary just because each foundation shade within the range will adapt differently to every single type of skin tone.

This aspect might be a bit surprising to some but since every single one of us have various skin conditions like dry, sensitive, oily and combination, it only seems apt that a foundation like this would soon appear in the industry. Plus seeing that it would also adapt to our color tones and recognize individual skin qualities, be it light, medium or dark, this bonds wonderfully for its users as well.

In addition, seeing as the brand behind this progressive effect is Shiseido, there are certainly high expectations with this just because we all know that their research for each individual product goes above and beyond; and with such in depth exploration on each product, the end results would be nothing short of extraordinary which in this case is spot on.

So going by this, let's talk a bit about the product at hand. With 13 shades ranging from Rose, Neutral to Golden, Shiseido has each of their foundations labeled by numbers following a shade map; specifying the undertone of each individual color. For this, there are 3 varieties for Rose, 5 for Neutral and last but not least, 5 for Golden.


The packaging on the other hand reminds me a lot of their best seller which is the Shiseido Ultimune but while its shape takes its similarity in form, the bottle remains frosted with a clear ombre cover at the top instead of red. The specifics into using the formulation is pretty simple enough, but just for a clearer picture, I will list them down below.

How to Use the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation


1. Apply a primer (The Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer would be the best combo here)

2. Gently shake the bottle of the Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation

3. Use one pump and distribute the product evenly across your face (best applied with the warmth of your fingers)

4. Blend the foundation evenly using gentle circular motions working outward from the bridge of your nose to your cheeks.

5. Set the face with a loose setting powder

From multiple uses, the foundation is indeed very buildable, so you won't really have trouble of it creasing or flaking much. Plus seeing that its texture is very natural, light and airy, the coverage is pretty decent (last up to 8 hours); ranging from a light to a moderate finish which I truly enjoy using on my end.
